Final Preparation for the 2013 Rose & Bay Awards

Visit the 2013 Rose & Bay Award Landing Page. It has the rules and other information for this round of the awards.  Note that a few things have changed since last year, based on participant feedback.

We still need volunteers to manage the Fiction and Other Project categories. Otherwise they are going to get managed by someone eligible in those categories, which is really not ideal.  It's a modest amount of work and very helpful for the community.  If you've been crowdfunding something else -- or if you're a patron! -- please consider volunteering.  Comment here or send me a note if you're interested.

Nominations open on January 1, 2013.  If you want to affirm a project as crowdfunded, today is the last day to touch it up.  Make sure it has a title, your byline, an obvious way to make money, and a clear audience connection.  See "5 Steps to Crowdfunding Success" for tips on fundamental design features.

Also, think about your favorite projects that you'll want to nominate in January.  This year I kept track of all my crowdfunding activity, both creation and support, in a post that has been very convenient for reference.  I'll probably make many of my nominations out of there.  Feel free to borrow that idea for your 2013 crowdfunding fun.

1. The HTML on the landing page makes it impossible to read.
2. Are Kickstarter projects eligible for nominations?

Thanks for organizing this!

Okay...

>>1. The HTML on the landing page makes it impossible to read. <<

I'm trying to fix that but don't know if the changes will save properly. LJ is helpfully inserting all manner of typos, random symbols and code changes, deleting letters and numbers, etc. and generally driving me nuts.

Yes!

Re: Okay...

Since all the info is in the newly posted categories I'm not sure it's worth your time to fix it here...
