I'm Watching You

Crowdfunded T-Shirts and Other design stuff

Hello everyone!

I've been lurking in here for awhile, reading and occasionally commenting.

I've been trying to come up with ways to generate business for myself, so someone suggest this community to me as a way to get some ideas and act on them.

For the holidays I'm offering custom designed cards, prints, and ink drawings. I made a post about it in my personal journal. You can read it here. Please feel free to pass along the info. (Note: I will be accepting paypal hopefully in the near future. In the mean time, msg me for pricing and payment options.)

I've also got some ideas for t-shirts I'd like to do, if there would be enough interest. I have two designs that would be good for shirts, and I was trying to think of a way to get them printed, and it occurred to me that maybe a crowdfunding project would be a good way to start? I've never done this before, so bear with me.

Here's what I'm thinking. If there's enough interest, and I receive enough money to do an initial print, I will get one or both designs printed. (Paypal would be set up for this!) Then whoever donated x amount (maybe 5-10 +?) would receive a shirt, and the rest would be available for purchase.

If this were to be a success, then there's a good chance more t-shirts would become available.

The purpose for this post is to 1. bring attention to my projects and hopefully generate business, and 2. to see if t-shirts is something people would be interested. Any feedback would be great, and of course if this gets off the ground I'd post a preview of the designs.

The two designs I have right now is a "Cthulhu Cookie". A cookie with a bite out of it and tentacles dangling down on the one side, chocolate chunks create the eye and nostrils. It's a brilliant design. The other design is a graphic of Alex from Clockwork Orange and the text "Singing in the Rain." (You can preview the preliminary Alex in my journal, and both of these will be available as prints. The finished Cthulhu Cookie is not yet posted.)

Thanks!
